We proudly announce that the Slovak dancer Zaghareet placed first in the competition of the 5th Cairo! festival in Budapest! The prestigious festival organized by the wonderful Hungarian dancer Mercedes Nieto held a competition for professional solo oriental dancers and troupes yet again. Zaghareet won first place in the professional solo category with a tarab-style dance to a song originally sung by the famous Oum Kalthoum. The beautiful reward is the Nile group festival in Cairo, Egypt and a professional photo shoot with Mercedes’ personal photographer Tunde Dora. Another great surprise was that Zaghareet won the jury’s Special prize award – a weekend trip to Cairo and also the Poeples choice award – a dance and music education program in Florida, USA.
