Layali Bratislava is a project bringing the Slovak audience and the Slovak oriental scene a special opportunity to experience workshops and a show with international guests from Hungary: Effendi Dabkeh Tarsulát and dancer Nitah. The third workshop will we held by the Slovak dancer Zaghareet.

the level is for advance dancers, but basics of dabkeh are not compulsory .
***Effendi Dabkeh Tarsulát from Hungary***
The Effendi Dabkeh Troupe was the first in Hungary, who started to teach this kind of dance. The troupe – which has been working since 2004 – has two members: on the one hand, there’s the Syrian-born businessman, Dahhan Mohamed (Moha), who is known by everyone as the owner of the Sultancenter. He has been playing music and has been dancing passionately since his childhood. On the other hand, there’s Haddad Henrik (Ricky), who is known as singer. He was the frontman of one of the most successful bands (Picasso Branch) of the 90’s. During those years, the dance has played a main role in the Lebanese-born Ricky’s life. In weekends, Ricky’s spectacular shows dazzled the audience and on weekdays he taught street-jazz. He developed his dance skills in international workshops (IDMC) and, for a short period, he learnt on the Broadway from the world-famous choreographer of Pink.
02,30 PM – 04,30 PM Effendi Dabkeh Tarsulat from Hungary: Dabkeh (technique and choreography)
The meaning of Dabkeh: stamp. One’s heart starts to beat stronger when the energy of the Lebanon folklore music has been released. It’s no wonder that the music and the dance are so exalted: originally, the soldiers were dancing the way while coming back home from the war. The Effendi Dabkeh Troupe represents the modern version of the Lebanese folklore in a high level. The inspiration and choreographies of professional teachers enrich the performances and the workshops of the group. Talented Saturday workshop-attendeese can perform the choreography together With Effendi at the evening galashow.

Her dance motto:

It is not just dance, but an art, created with heart and soul.
Nitah fell in love with oriental dance 13 years ago, started learning immediately and has been teaching for 7 years. She continuously studies, so she can refresh and broaden her knowledge and so she can pass on more authentic knowledge. Her students continuously achieve success in national and international competitions.

Nitah will express the importance to teach the movements in oriental dance technically, together with what makes this dance- and the dancer- really unique: to reveal/visaualize the music and feelings…Nitah was a teacher in: Salamat Masr Egyptian Dance Festival 2012 .

****Zaghareet from Bratislava****
Zaghareet is a Slovak bellydancer working in the Slovak Republic and abroad. Her first encounter with oriental dance was back in 2002. She focuses mainly on the egyptian style of oriental dance. She performs, teaches regular classes in Bratislava, choreographs, competes, guest-performs at national and international dance festivals. She has won a few international competitions, as well as her students. She uses her experience and knowledge from the medical field while teaching.
